INSURANCE

Although many (PPO) insurances have a network of providers, they also allow you to go to the dentist of your choice.

We accept those (PPO) insurances.

For example, we may not be a MetLife provider but we have many patients on MetLife who choose to come to us.

The following is a list of insurance companies in which we are signed up as a “network provider”:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (PPO and also we honor the Federal)

  • Dental Wellness Partners

  • Delta Dental (Premier)

  • Aetna (PPO)

  • Assurant Benefits (PPO)

  • Florida Combined Life (Federal/PPO)

  • Safeguard (PPO)

  • Premier Access (PPO)

Connection Dental (PPO) and it’s associated companies:

·        Cigna (PPO)

·        United Healthcare (PPO)

·        Guardian (PPO)

·        Ameritas Life

·        Reliance Standard

·        The Standard Life

·        Principle Financial Group (PPO)

·        Lincoln National (PPO)

We are also providers of 2 discount plan insurances:

1.     Careington (Care 15 PPO) – 15% discount plan

2.     Florida Combined Life (cosmetic program – co-payment, Blue Ental Choice/Choice Plus) – 20% discount plan

No doubt this list is dynamic in that changes will occur over time. You should check with our office to confirm coverage.

If the patient wishes only  to pay his or her portion then we send a pre-authorization to their insurance company. The insurance company will send back a response stating what portion they will pay. So then when the work is done we bill the insurance for their portion and collect from the patient the amount they are to pay.  If the insurance company denies benefits we are willing to generate a reasonable appeal on the patient’s behalf but utltimately the bill is the patient’s responsibility.  We have written extensive appeals on the patient’s behalf and work hard to help the patients receive what they are entitled to.

Some patients pay us up front and we send in the paperwork to assist them in getting them reimbursed. We work hard to make sure that they get reimbursed.

If you choose to have the dental work done immediately and not wait for a pre-estimate to be sent to the insurance then we require the patient to pay up front and we will file for you to be reimbursed.  There are many procedures however which can be done without waiting for a pre-estimate such as an extraction, filling, full mouth xrays with a complete exam, a cleaning, or even a root canal if  there is pain, infection, etc.

PATIENT FINANCING

No Interest Option

We Offer Convenient Monthly Payment Plans

We do offer financing for our patients.  We are signed up with "Care Credit". which is endorsed by the ADA. Programs such as these finance things such as lasik eye surgery, cosmetic surgery and dental treatment.  They offer long term plans with a fixed interest amount to make the repayment easier on the patient. They also offer shorter term ‘no interest’ loans for the patient.  It is contingent upon qualifying with "Care Credit".  We will assist you in applying for this help. Call our office if you have any questions.

Payment is normally paid at the time of service. If the case is an ongoing one we may give the patient the option to pay  a certain amount as we begin and the balance upon completion.  Sometimes people will pay half down and the balance upon completion or break it up into thirds.

We also allow the patients to pay only their portion if they have insurance. To qualify for this the patient’s insurance company generally requires and pre-authorization to be sent.
